All interested applicants can email their CVs to careers.escl@engie.com with a subject line of Food Quality Inspector Job Title: Food Quality Inspector Position Reports to: Senior Food Quality Inspector Location: Ras Al Khair, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia SUMMARY: Responsible for the monitoring and strict compliance of food service quality and food safety in accordance with the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) at all catering premises within the contract PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: • Support the senior food quality inspector in all food quality and safety matters across the site catering operations • Monitoring of the COMPANY FSMS ensuring statutory compliance with the prescribed legal requirements is being strictly adhered to and followed • Completion of Food Safety Audits at all on-site catering premises, ensuring any identified shortfalls are duly addressed and corrective actions completed through to a satisfactory conclusion • Complete Approved Food Supplier Audits (in accordance with HACCP) identifying any corrective actions required and escalating any major concerns, ensuring action is taken • To liaise with any Local Authorities/enforcement officials as required • Co-ordinate the on-going development requirements of the COMPANY FSMS including the carrying out of internal audits • Ensure all records and relevant documentation relating to the FSMS are completed and recorded correctly, ensuring all evidence is securely kept for audit purposes and reviews • Assisting other safety officials within the contract if required • Conduct random and scheduled daily Food Safety and Hygiene inspections to all catering premises ensuring compliance or any non-conformity • Stop any unsafe acts and take appropriate action, if any process is identified that contradicts the FSMS or legislation • Record, investigate and prepare reports regarding any food safety related incident • Nurture good working relationships with the CATERING SERVICE PROVIDER • Ensure due diligence is always being followed and strictly adhered to. EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION / KNOWLEDGE: • Managing Food Safety in Catering, Level 3 or equivalent, desirable • HACCP Level 3 or equivalent, desirable • Diploma in Food Safety & Legislation or equivalent, desirable • Higher Certificate in Food Premises Inspection or equivalent, desirable • Previous background in catering, essential • Demonstrate proficiency in the Microsoft Office environment including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook, essential EXPERIENCE: • Requires minimum of 5 to 10 years within the catering industry SKILLS/ABILITIES: • Strong leadership and man-management skills • Strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills and a positive attitude • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Proven skills related to the position • Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks • Great multi-tasking abilities and attention to detail • Exceptional personal, professional appearance as you will be seen as a role model setting and maintaining the ‘standard’.
